Gently exfoliates!Right off the bat, I was pleased that this product clearly stated that it did not contain plastic microbeads. While these are outlawed in many areas, I feel as if they are still on the shelves, and it is a concern that I may inadvertently be purchasing them. So kudos to Neutrogena for perhaps stating the obvious, but something that needed to be stated nonetheless. I was pleased with the cleansing properties of the product, and found the exfoliating particles to be a perfect size- not too large or small, and not too abrasive. Overall I'm pleased with this product, as it seemed gentle enough to cleanse without being harsh, but also worked as an exfoliator.

Allergic Reaction like many others!I am giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. I bought this product because the store was out of my normal Neutrogena product. After a 2 day use, my whole face was swollen; the area around my eyes, my cheeks, the bridge of my nose, and my chin/lip area. My skin was on fire & was very itchy, swollen & red. My face is now peeling [like I have a sunburn] around thr bottom of my cheeks & lip/chin area. It is very dry & geels very rough now! Caution when using this! There are no warning labels on the product or "in case of these symptoms/allergic reaction." I had to end up going to the doctor to get steroids to help with the swelling it was so bad.

Very disappointedUnfortunately, this product left my skin feeling scaly
dry and irritated with red blotches around my mouth and cheek areas that looked and felt like sunburn. On top of that, it wasn’t hydrating at all which is why I purchased it. I suspect that it’s the AHA and glycolic acid that are the culprits but I’ve used them before in other products and they did not cause this type of reaction. Will stop using this - hoping the cream and other products in the hydro boost line aren’t all like this one. This product needs a new formulation as it is very harsh on the skin and I’ve never had sensitive skin!

damaged my skinBeware: I used this product 4 times last week. the last time i used it my face turned bright red. a few hours later my skin is cracked, peeling, and it hurts. this product is PURE GARBAGE. it says its for everyday use. A week later my skin is still rough and dry to the touch, cracking, but doesnt hurt as much. This is my face I'm talking about. I will never use this, I do not recommend it. I had normal skin prior to using it, sometimes oily, but sometimes a little dry. DO NOT USE THIS. IT WILL RUIN YOUR SKIN. there is nothing good about this product. the texture of my skin has totally changed around my chin and lower cheeks thanks to this garbage.

Both hydrating and exfoliating!Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliation Cleanser is exactly what the name promises: hydrating and exfoliating at the same time. I never would have though before that a product could successfully exfoliate while leaving my skin feeling hydrated instead of striped, but this product really does both! I love that it has a grit to the texture but not too harsh that it feels like it's scratching my skin. It really feels great on the skin and gets every last bit of dirt/makeup off! I love that it also leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and not dried out! I have had other exfoliating cleansers that left me with dry, tight skin - not this! Would recommend to any skin type.

Results I didn't expect!!!!I bought this cleanser, not knowing what I really needed. My entire life I had very oily skin, and I was a dedicated Neugtrogena buyer. However, after the age of 40, my skin started to become more combination. I had tried other products, but nothing really seemed to make my face feel clean, but not overly dry. So I picked this cleanser up. The first time I used it, what a shock! My skin was so soft, yet not dry. It almost felt like velvet! Fast forward a month later, and my skin looks and feels amazing every day, and I got an extra perk from the cleanser - my milia (hard, keratin-based bumps) that I had had for years, disappeared! I had one very annoying one under my eye, and it's now gone! And the one I had on my eyelid is shrinking more and more by the day!

Great Looking SkinI was given the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser as a free sample to try for my honest review. My first time using Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser I noticed that it made my face feel really soft. All I had to do was add some water and lather my face to get all the oil, dirt and dry skin off my face. I liked how it was not harsh on my face and did no t leave my face red after I was done washing it off. after using it for a few days I could see that my face was brighter and felt a lot smoother. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to get great looking skin.

My skin immediately after was soft!I bought this yesterday and OMG I am in love! I was skeptical because I've been breaking out recently after using another product. With the harsh dry season in my country, I definitely needed a product that both cleaned and hydrated my skin and this one does just that. My face has never felt this clean, yet not dried out before.
This product does exactly what it says it does. I'm in love.
Btw, I have oily skin and waking up this morning, I've noticed a reduction in the amount of oil my skin usually produces overnight. I didn't buy this for oil control but if it does that too, I won't ever stop using it.
